Tranquil Abode Garden 居遊園 (work in vison studio)

Japanese Landscape architects often speak of 'chi-sense', which exists in human perception and cannot be concretely observed or expressed, but exists in two-dimensional planes and three-dimensional spaces. The 'disposition' is the voice of things, which changes the balance of space and gives rise to different spatial sensations.

Organic, ecological, and as the starting point of urban development, I imagined something that is protected from the urban jumble, yet at the same time, its boundaries are blurred and it can breathe. We think of it as a living organism that encases and protects the core inside while maintaining permeability

Gives a deep and tranquil atmosphere, like looking at the mountains over the surface of a stream upstream

Downstream, the space is like a gentle stream, with gentle undulations, few trees, relatively wide visibility and a sense of security

    Front garden  / 平遠庭

The branches that grow from the stones continue over the river, and the stones show a calm expression and welcome people in a calm manner. Therefore, I named it Heientei

The combination of black pine trees and mountain rocks evokes a sense of tranquility and reverence, creating a serene yet dignified atmosphere. The use of greenery is also significantly restrained. With just two black pine trees and moss, it conveys a simple and refreshing impression. While maintaining the balance between the pine trees and the rock arrangement, the overall composition directs its momentum towards the entrance.

    East garden /留月庭

The waves are quiet, the pictures of the mountains in the distance are drawn, the moon is very undeveloped, and the scenery is like if you want to stay on the banks of the river, as if you were on the banks of the river

The east and west gardens form a connected landscape, enveloping the corridor space and creating a sense of ambiguous spatiality between nature and architecture. Based on the landscape of the upper reaches of the mountain stream, the stones are assembled using the tatami stone method, with Irohamomiji in the foreground and black pines in the background to set the mood and strengthen the depth of the landscape.

Slowly flows through a valley that spreads gradually, and the stream is shallow, intimate, and the scenery is very open. Openwork trees and gentle stones on either side of the stream give people a peaceful and comfortable mood

The trees in the western courtyard are mainly maple trees, with few shrubs and a sense of transparency. The river is displayed as paving stones, the shore stones are gentle, and the stonework used for the seats blends into the natural scenery while hiding the processed traces
